In Sanskrit, ‘Pura’ means ancient and ‘Nava’ means new. So, Puranava stands for that which is ancient and is yet relevant in modern times. It is an Indian cultural fest that showcases the rich heritage of India and its timeless treasures. There are friendly competitions for kids and youth, a flagship heritage quiz, activity booths, cultural performances and more.

Puranava was first started in Dallas in 2017 as a 5 day friendly competition event and eventually grew into a full day cultural fest In Houston the following year. Since then, it has grown to three cities - Atlanta, Bay Area and Houston.

We welcome all to come and celebrate with us and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of India.
