Grades 6-8

  1. There will be 1 round only for each age-group.

  2. Questions will be in verbal format - with visual cues and actual items and materials for clues. Participants are expected to give short answers (1 word or 1 sentence).

  3. The questions will be from the preparation material except for the final round. The questions may be worded differently but the content will be from the preparation material except for last round (see point 5) and tie-breaker (see last point).

  4. Participants will be divided into teams of 2 each. (There should be at least 6 participants to form teams. If not, participants will play individually.)

  5. For the final round, questions from the quiz topics but outside the question bank will be asked. For example, if the topic is Deepavali, a question related to Deepavali that is common knowledge but may not be in the question bank may be asked.

  6. If there is a tie, then

    1. Each team will be asked a question in round robin fashion

    2. If a team passes, the next team will get a chance to answer

    3. Whichever team gets two consecutive questions right will be declared the winning team.

    4. If there is a tie, questions within the boundary of the Quiz topics (but outside of the question bank) will be used to break the tie.
